COMMUNICATING THE LOCAL RISK

In an effort to assist community officials with risk communication efforts and build a support base for hazard mitigation, sustainability, and resilience discussions within their communities, FEMA Region 6 developed the Risk Communication Guidebook for Local Officials. This Guidebook provides community officials with tools, customizable templates, and resources to easily and effectively communicate natural hazard risk information to their constituents.
